(June 13, 2023) – Today, Clique Hospitality and Pendry Newport Beach are pleased to announce SET Steak & Sushi, a modern steakhouse, slated to open at the resort late summer 2023. SET Steak & Sushi will feature modern American classics and a collection of prime cuts prepared over flame-broiled grills. The prime selection of meats at SET will be matched by fresh, sustainably caught seafood, expertly hand-crafted sushi, savory sashimi, an impeccably curated wine list, and more.

The diverse menu designed with James Beard Foundation Smart Catch Leader, JoJo Ruiz, will accentuate Executive Chef James Jung’s acclaimed creative culinary mind, featuring a collection of American steakhouse classics with the best cuts and chops from Cedar River and Snake River Farms, Double R Ranch, and more. Jung also showcases his background in Asian cuisine with modern interpretations such as the Half Peking Duck served with Tokyo Negi, cucumber, hoisin sauce, and pancakes, alongside a dynamic selection of sushi, sashimi, and specialty rolls.
